C’mon now you know you want to sing along with me! So this week after several months of not working out Amy & I decide it was time.
To all of you Grooms out there, all I’m saying is it’s never too late to start today. I know for sure your lovely Bride is trying their best to keep fit, perhaps lose a few inches here and there, to make sure that wedding dress will slide over them like a glove. So my challenge for you fellow Grooms this Friday is to help your Bride and help yourself get into shape for your wedding day. I love working out with Amy. I know it’s been awhile but when we were and will be back on track, we supported each other in our goals. We pushed each other when we needed to. We told each other to drop that extra serving of food. Ok it was actually Amy telling me to only get one serving…lol. But my point is, find that support structure between yourself and your Bride. It does wonders not only physically but also helps with the communication between you two. We are doing this mainly for ourselves but also to look awesome for each other. Comment below and let me know how you’re doing each week.
So here are a few things to help you out get fit for your wedding day.
1. Grooms get together with your Bride and agree on goals for yourselves. Don’t wait until it’s too late. On average you should be losing around 2-3 lbs per week. Grooms you’ll be losing weight quicker than your Bride. It’s just how it is, men lose weight quicker. Losing 10 lbs 2 weeks before your wedding is just a very bad idea.
2. Make sure your goals actually make sense and are achievable. See #1 for the reason.
3. Finding the right workout or exercise for you is important. If you do have health concerns, ask your doctor for advice. Every person is different so do what works for you.
4. Dieting alone will not get you results. Exercise & a good balanced diet will. Please see a doctor and/or nutritionist for a good balanced diet plan. Starvation or skipping meals are never good options.
5. Support your Bride. It’s tough as it is to lose weight and staying in shape by you. Working out together and having each other for motivational support does wonders.
