Road to the Final Four

It’s March Madness time and the NCAA Road to the Final Four.  I’m a big Wildcats fan even as far back as the Rick Pitino days.  I know that Kansas is favored to win but I do have one thing to say about that…go Wildcats!!!

Ok grooms now that I have your attention, let’s talk about your own Road to the Final Four weeks before your big day!  Yes I know most of you will be glued to the tube, but we can’t forget about your wedding day and most especially your bride.

The final four weeks countdown may be the most crucial and stressful times in your wedding planning process, but it doesn’t have to be.  With proper planning and helping out your bride, both of you will win at the end.

So let’s check out what’s on your checklist for these final four weeks of wedding preparations.  Below is not a complete list, but a good overall checklist to gauge your current planning process.  These apply to both the B&G to look over:

THE CHECKLIST

  • Pick up wedding band
  • Wrap your Brides wedding day gift (optional)
  • Box and wrap all gifts for groomsmen/ushers/etc. If you don’t have them-get them.
  • Confirm your Parents have mailed rehearsal dinner invitations, if they are hosting it.
  • Inform car/home/renter’s insurance of your upcoming marriage
  • Add wedding jewelry to your  home/renter’s insurance
  • Add/Inform or make adjustments with additional beneficiary info or insurance policies
  • Open joint checking and savings accounts
  • Confirm honeymoon reservations
  • pack for honeymoon
  • passports if B&G are traveling out of the country
  • Finalize Bachelor Party Plans with the planner (Best Man)
  • Donate your shoulder to your bride to lean on or cry on if need be.

Last but not least…

  • RELAX and ENJOY your wedding

Grooms do your best to help out your bride with all of these planning and arrangements noted above.  Your bride will appreciate it.  You will appreciate it.  Stress will be low which means good times and enjoyment for the both of you.  At the end of the day, the only item that really matters is the happiness between a newlywed B&G.

As always…stay safe, keep cool, and kiss your Bride to be!
